Reflexology

Reflexology practitioners

Elise Unger - Reflexologist, Bsc (Hons)MAR

I gained my diploma in Reflexology from the Bristol School of Holistic Therapies and am a member of the Association of Reflexologists.

I have used complementary therapies for most of my adult life but became interested in reflexology after receiving a treatment post-operatively. This experience made me realise the benefits of reflexology; I felt that it helped my recovery on a physical level but also encouraged my body into better sleeping patterns and reduced my stress levels.  This inspired me to study for my practitioner’s diploma a few years later. Since then I have treated people of all ages ranging from competitive sportsmen and women to individuals with long term physical and mental ailments. People have come to me suffering with conditions such as stress/anxiety, digestive disorders (for example IBS), insomnia, repetitive strain injury (RSI) and chronic back pain.

I carry out a medical and lifestyle consultation before your first treatment to rule out any medical conditions not suitable to reflexology. There is no need to remove any clothing other than shoes and socks to receive the treatment. The theory behind reflexology is that different areas of the feet correspond to certain structures and areas of the body and working these areas may aid relaxation, help with sleep and improve general well-being. Many clients report perceived benefits to sleep quality, levels of stress and overall mood improvement.

Debbie Allardice - Reflexologist

I am a qualified professional Complementary Therapist with a passion for natural therapies. After completing a BA (Hons) degree in Sociology that focussed on health, illness and wellbeing, I decided to study natural therapies and I graduated in clinical Reflexology in 2011 from the International Institute of Reflexology (IIR).  I have since continued to expand my skills and techniques to include a range of other natural therapies and post-graduate reflexology courses.

I specialise in Maternity Reflexology but treat clients with a wide range of conditions including back problems, digestive issues, endocrine related conditions and mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression and sleep disorders.  I am also a registered practitioner of Advanced Reflexology Techniques (ART).

In addition to Reflexology, I am qualified in Thai Foot Massage, Facial Rejuvenation (Natural Facelift Massage) and Natural Facial.

I recently joined the Wells Road Clinic after 5 years of practicing at the Goose Green Clinic of Osteopathy in South East London.

My approach is to respond to the unique needs of each client, focusing and tailoring each treatment accordingly - everyone is different. I combine my variety of techniques and experience with a calm and restorative approach, to promote wellbeing and bring into balance the body, mind and emotions.

Please get in touch if you would like any more information about the therapies I practice, my approach or to book an appointment.
